Activities
Honor Society
Students who achieve academic excellence and earn the recommendations of their teachers may apply for membership in the Honor Society.
The Honor Society organizes special activities including a trip to San Francisco in sixth grade, trips to Sacramento and Monterey in seventh grade, and a trip to Yosemite in eighth grade.
In addition to recognizing students for outstanding achievement, the Honor Society asks students to "give back" through school or community service.
Intramurals
A variety of intramural activities such as basketball, touch football, kickball, volleyball, soccer are offered at lunch to all students based on the season.
Specific activities and times are outlined in the daily announcements.
Additional information is available from Mr. Furr, Mr. Frisbie, or Mr. Vina.
Mini-Course / Field Trip Day
Students at each grade level participate in a mini-course and/or field trip in the spring every other year.
This may includes a rotating schedule of activities and classes during the day such as chess, art, crafts, music, etc.
Lunch consists of a school sponsored barbecue, and in the afternoon each grade competes in field day activities or embarks on a field trip.
All activities are dependent upon funding, staffing, and student interest.
